Sweat Equity
This ain’t a game. This ain’t a joke. This isn’t pretend, this is life.

From the moment I left football to pursue a career in acting, I had a mark on my back. I was different. Flamboyant. A wannabe. I didn’t know where to start, but I just knew I had to. I had to escape the bubble that was my hometown. I had to break free of the small-minded mentality that was grow up, go to school, go to college, get a 9-5, and then rot. I knew the odds of my making it big at the time were very slim, but that’s because I hadn’t even started yet.
My journey started with immense doubt from individuals who couldn’t even see the value in their own individuality, what a sorry way to live. I knew that if I were going to turn it up, I’d have to Ster It Up and sacrifice fun for sweat equity. To tame and conquer the beast of Los Angeles, you must become ‘The Master’. You must learn the art of pivoting, being consistent, and knowing who the F*** you are. Mix that with hard work and say it with me now… preparation! And you’ll be solid in God’s timing because who are you?
Lastly, ask yourself if this is truly for you. You have to be okay with putting your career first over things you hold dearly. No parties, No drugs, No bullshit. Just preparation and sweat equity.
Or stop wasting everyone’s time and just go home.
